    The Network of Alcohol and other Drugs Agencies (NADA) is pleased to invite members of our Youth AOD Services Network to attend a free 1-day workshop.


    Overview:
    The workshop will look at the psycho-biology of trauma giving the participant a practitioner’s insight into this field. Moreover, participants will be working with the most recent research and creative ideas which will provide a recovery framework that explores ‘what lies on the other side of the psycho-biology of trauma’. This workshop focuses on the most current information on the effects of trauma and how to work with them within a hope framework.

     

    Outcomes:
    At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

    • Articulate the main effects of trauma on the psycho-biology of clients
    • Articulate the main tenets of working with a psycho-biological framework
    • Demonstrate use of practical application of the psycho-biology of trauma
    • Articulate the philosophy of ‘what lies on the other side of the psycho-biology of trauma’
    • Demonstrate practical application of techniques that focus on what lies on the other side of the psycho-biology of trauma

     

    Who should attend?

    The training is free, and available to NADA Youth AOD Services Network members only.

    **Due to the size of the venue, the workshop shall be capped at 1 participant per organisation; additional registrants from the same organisation shall be placed on waitlist, pending approval should capacity free up closer to the date.

    Travel and accommodation support
