  • The Network of Alcohol and other Drugs Agencies (NADA) invite you to attend this free one day training session on smoking cessation run by Tracey Greenberg

    This one-day workshop provides you with practical information and tips for working with people who smoke and how to transition to a smoke-free lifestyle and environment.


    Topics covered in this workshop will include:
         -     Nicotine dependence, toxicity and withdrawal

         -     Target populations

         -     Assessment

         -     Treatment options

         -     Relapse prevention

         -     How smoking impacts on other drug

         -     Cannabis and tobacco

         -     Shisha

         -     E-cigarettes

         -     Dealing with breaches in a smoke free service



    About the trainer

    Tracey Greenberg is a trainer with more than 30 years of experience in the Alcohol and other Drugs field.


    With a background in psychiatric nursing, women’s health, drug and alcohol counseling /training and childbirth education, she has spent more than a decade as a professional development officer with the Centre for Education and Information on Drugs and Alcohol (CEIDA), developing, delivering and evaluating drug and alcohol training for the NSW health and welfare sector. For the past 14 years Tracey has worked part time for NSW Health as the Statewide Tobacco Cessation Trainer, based at St Vincents Alcohol and Drug Service and is interested in reducing harm from smoking in marginalized groups.


    Tracey runs a private AOD consultancy as well, and has provided training on a consultancy basis for many government organisations and NGO’s. She also runs quit groups for workplaces.
