Description

Are you a Social Worker, Welfare Worker or AOD/Mental Health Clinician experienced in working with complex needs clients with Mental Health and Substance use issues?

WHOS® (We Help Ourselves) programs and services are based in NSW and QLD and cater for individuals who are experiencing difficulties with substance use dependence. Further information can be accessed on our website.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated staff member to join WHOS multidisciplinary team at our Lilyfield campus to work with complex needs clients coming into several of our residential services from the Western Sydney area. The positions will report to and be supported by the WHOS Nurse Manager and will work from the Lilyfield campus.

Requirement

APPLICANTS MUST RESPOND TO THE SELECTION CRITERIA BELOW:

Essential Criteria
  1. Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Science or Alcohol and other Drug (AOD) /Mental Health or related fields
  2. Experience working in the AOD/Mental Health field
  3. Experience in assessment and referral of clients with multiple complex needs with mental health and AOD dependence 
  4. Knowledge of Harm Reduction approaches with AOD target groups.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to negotiate and develop referral pathways with allied services.
  6. Advanced case management skills.
  7. Effective liaison, communication and networking development skills
  8. Competent in computer skills and documentation in client electronic files
  9. Current drivers’ licence.

Remuneration is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Please note this position is offered on a fixed term contract basis to 30 June 2022. Extension dependant on continuation of funding.
