The Digital Content Specialist works within the Development and Engagement team, who look after all Fundraising and Marketing initiatives across Odyssey House NSW. 

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, the Digital Content Specialist role operates to create, upload and maintain Odyssey’s digital fundraising initiatives and strategic projects, ensuring that it builds brand equity, retains supporters, generates leads and drives donations. 

A typical day may include creating and implementing an SEO and SEM content plan, building EDM’s, creating and uploading social media content, and exploring new ways to support our digital fundraising initiatives.

Requirement

Required:
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to details and the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to engage with people from a range of backgrounds and experiences with a range of presentations.
  • Shows initiative and self-motivated while working within a team.
  • Ability and capacity to show initiative, and demonstrated ability to hold confidential information in a trustworthy manner.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to provide advice and recommendations relevant to role.
  • Proficient at creating social media and digital advertising content. 
  • Proficient in using content management systems e.g. WordPress.
  • Experience using an email marketing platform.
  • Experience executing an SEM and SEO program.
  • Experience using design software.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and collate timely, relevant and targeted reports and other information for senior management.
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Criminal History Check and Working With Children clearance for paid employment.
  • Unlimited right to live and work in Australia.
  • COVID vaccination.
Desirable:
  • Experience managing Google Grants.
  • Experience in RE NXT and Funraisin.
  • Experience working across and/or managing OOH.
  • Ability to support the build of the bi-annual newsletter and appeal.
