There is an exciting oppoirtunity to work with a dynamic team in leading the daily operations and development of the Contact Centre and contributing to the strategic directions of the Alcohol and Drug Service. The role involves managing a range of telephone and web-based Alcohol and Drug focused services ensuring the Contact Centre team members provide high quality, evidence based clinical interventions via telephone and other forms related to ongoing alcohol and other drug use. The role also provides operational management support relating to telephone and customer record management systems for the Drug and Alcohol Service. 


Selection Criteria:
  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
  • Relevant tertiary level qualifications in a health related field and/or management/leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the unique value of telephone, telehealth and web based services and their place within the health system.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in the development of service level plans in response to strategic developments and funding enhancements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of accreditation standards and how they may apply to telephone/web based health services.
  • Demonstrated skills in leading teams, and developing and maintaining effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to feedback from consumers and incorporate feedback into service improvement activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with maintaining accurate records and report writing.
