Description

Primarily responsible to lead & manage the risk, compliance, quality & client safety functions along with associated reporting requirements.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing the risk management framework at Odyssey NSW.
  • Investigate and manage client safety issues and the Incident Management System.  
  • Lead the accreditation process across the organisation.
  • Oversee, develop and maintain the Policy and Procedure framework.
  • Lead and manage the Quality Improvement Framework and quality improvement program across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain a quality audit program.
  • Be an active member of the WHS committee.

Requirement

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA:
  • Minimum Tertiary clinical qualification relevant to the position such as nursing, social work and/or other related allied health field.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk, compliance, quality and client safety for at least 5 years
  • Experience with Accreditation processes for at least 2 years
  • Demonstrated experience in incident management and risk management processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk, compliance and quality frameworks, processes and procedures related to health service provision.
  • Demonstrated experience working in working clinically in a multi-disciplinary team environment, be self-motivated and self-directed and be able to engage and influence staff, Executives, Board and external stakeholders in discussions about risk, compliance, quality or client safety.
  • Highly developed analytical, investigative and problem-solving abilities
  • High level writing skills, with demonstrated experience in writing guidelines and policy and procedures with excellent attention to detail. 
  • Commitment to the Odyssey House NSW Mission and Values, WHS, EEO and continuous quality improvement
  • Hold a current NSW Driver's License
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Criminal History Check and Working With Children clearance
  • Unlimited right to work and live in Australia.
