Seeking a board member with a lived experience of alcohol and other drugs treatment

The Network of Alcohol and other Drugs Agencies (NADA) is the peak body for drug and alcohol treatment services in NSW and we are looking for expressions of interest from a person with the lived experience of alcohol and other drugs treatment in NSW.

This is your chance to contribute to reduce alcohol and drug related harms to NSW service users through improved treatment and harm reduction services.

Rural/regional, Aboriginal, culturally and linguistically diverse people and those from gender diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

NADA will:

  • provide support, induction and training for new Board members
  • arrange and meet the cost of necessary travel
  • pay a sitting fee, that includes reading and preparation time.

If you have lived experience in alcohol and other drug treatment services that you’d like to share, and feel that you can commit to monthly meetings, training on Board governance and oversight with a willingness to advocate for service improvement, lodge an expression of interest.

For more detailed information and to obtain a position description, contact Fiona Poeder, NADA’s Consumer Participation Project Coordinator on (02) 8113 1324 or email fiona@nada.org.au.
