Personal Assistant to the CEO

Odyssey House NSW’s mission is to build safe and healthy communities by reducing the impact of substance use on individuals, families, carers and communities. This is an office based role which provides an opportunity to make a real difference. 

  • An exciting challenging role supporting the CEO with your strong administrative and organisational skills. 
  • In a day you may take minutes at an executive meeting, book flights, answer calls, maintain the office and kitchen, and provide administrative support on exciting initiatives. 
  • In this role you will enjoy being part of a large and complex organisation while working in its small friendly office, close to Redfern station. 
  • Permanent full-time with Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging options.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support at an Executive level to the CEO and Executive team.
  • Provide administrative support to Board members as required and work with the Company Secretary to ensure all Board documentation is prepared and distributed.
  • Perform Office Management duties for the head office in Redfern and oversee general maintenance of the office.

Requirement

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Certificate in administration will be highly regarded.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills including PowerPoint is essential
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Office Administration
  • Strong secretarial/administrative experience, ideally to support Executive level

Skills and knowledge:

  • Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, verbal and face to face
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, vary communication styles depending upon the audience
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and when communicating with others, both internally and externally
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner
  • Current successful National Police check
  • Working with Children Check 
  • Have evidence of double vaccination against COVID-19
