Description

WHOS is seeking a fulltime AOD Community Service Worker to join our men’s residential program, 

Gunyah. The role involves:

a) assessment, referral, and education,

b) supervising and supporting clients in a residential setting,

c) delivering a structured daily program (which includes facilitating various process and 

groups), 

d) conducting therapeutic interventions

Requirement

1. Certificate IV or higher in AOD, Community Services, Mental Health, or similar.

2. Available to work rotating day, evening and weekend shifts as required.

3. Ability to facilitate groups.

4. Experience in or knowledge of residential treatment services. 

5. Experience in working with clients that have AOD and associated conditions.

6. Knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation strategies.

Being male is a genuine requirement for this position, under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act

1977 (NSW)
