NADA have partnered with the Centre for Community Welfare Training (CCWT) to provide an opportunity for NADA members in team leader and manager roles to complete the Nationally recognised Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420).
CCWT training is delivered by experienced training professionals in the community sector. Course material is tailored to respond to the experiences of the community sector, with scenarios and activities informed by NADA member consultation.
Workshops will be provided through a combination of face to face, virtual facilitation and self-paced online learning.
Two course pathways are available to cater to participants at different stages of their career.
- An Experienced Managers pathway offers streamlined delivery through a Recognition of Prior Learning process to assess participant knowledge.Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a team leader/ manager or similar role and will be asked to undertake a short self-assessment and provide their position description and resume to check their suitability.Time commitment is 3 days workshop attendance and approx. 3 days to complete workshop homework and remaining elective units via RPL.Participants are likely to complete their qualification between 6-12 months.
- A Learning pathway allows for learning of all concepts with regular assessment workshops provided to allow for assessment completion with a trainer present.Applicants with less than 3 years’ experience in a team leader/ manager role are encouraged to select this option.Time commitment is 16 days in total, including (dependent on chosen electives) 6 – 8 face to face days, 6-8 online assessment days, plus approx. 8 days of additional study to complete assessment activities.Training modules are delivered as blocks of 2 days, every 6 weeks. Participants are likely to complete their qualifications between 12-18 months.
