NADA has provided Justice Connect with a range of legal questions that members are seeking advice on. We encourage members to register to attend—if you’re not available you should still register as you will receive a link to the recording of the webinar. Click here to register.
Do you need legal help with understanding and navigating the impacts of COVID-19 on your organisation?
The circumstances when a community organisation can require their workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19 are fast-changing and can be difficult to understand.
That’s why Not-for-profit Law’s team of lawyers and network of pro bono law firms are available to provide free legal advice* on COVID-19 vaccinations and workplace rights.
They can help you make sense of questions such as:
- can an organisation ask its workers to be vaccinated?
- can a worker refuse to get vaccinated and, if so, what steps can you take?
- how do anti-discrimination, privacy and work health and safety laws interact with the requirement to get vaccinated?

The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) has established an additional one-off grant program called the Social Sector Support Fund (SSSF)—not to be confused with the ‘SSTF’. The $50 million SSSF is for eligible charities and Not-For-Profits (NFPs) in the social, health, disability and animal welfare service sectors in NSW. It aims to help these organisations continue to deliver services and retain their workforce. To register for the Grant please follow this link. Registrations close at 5:00PM Friday 8 October 2021. More information on SSSF is available here.
