Peer worker community of practice

About the community of practice

There is a lot of research that supports the value of people working from a space of using their living/lived experience, and also in involving consumer representatives in all areas across the AOD sector. Benefits include improvements in health and wellbeing outcomes, and access to, and engagement in, services and treatment.

NADA facilitates a regular community of practice to provide a supportive peer based space where people can share their experiences of working as a consumer representative or peer worker in the non-government alcohol and other drugs sector. They can also learn what is happening in the consumer rep and peer worker spaces.

This community of practice is held online, every six weeks. The day and time will change for each meeting to allow more people a chance to attend.
