Description
WHOS® (We Help Ourselves) programs and services are based in NSW and QLD and cater for individuals who are experiencing difficulties with substance use dependence. Further information can be accessed at - www.whos.com.au
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated staff member to join WHOS multidisciplinary team at our Newcastle Day Program to work with clients seeking community-based support.
About the Role – What you will be doing
- Providing extensive AOD assessments, and referrals
- Undertaking case management and goal setting
- Facilitation of treatment groups.
- Maintain data entry and collection of AOD outcome measures.
- Ensure compliance with internal policy and procedure, clinical governance, and contractual requirements in relation to service delivery.
- Attend practise supervision and external in services.

Requirement
APPLICANTS MUST RESPOND TO THE SELECTION CRITERIA BELOW
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Science or Alcohol and other Drug (AOD) /Mental Health or related fields
- Experience working in the AOD/Mental Health field
- Experience in assessment and referral of clients with multiple complex needs with mental health and AOD dependence 4) Knowledge of Harm Reduction approaches with AOD target groups.
- Demonstrated capacity to negotiate and develop referral pathways with allied services.
- Advanced case management skills.
- Effective liaison, communication, and networking development skills
- Competent in computer skills and documentation in client electronic files
- First Aid Certificate
