The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation is one of Sydney's largest frontline charities and has been operating for almost 40 years.
Our mission is to provide assistance to address the cause and effect of homelessness and poverty, faced by marginalised individuals. We succeed in achieving this through a combination of caring services like food provision, medical and social welfare, and education.
Our Social Health and Wellbeing team are the first point of contact for people facing multiple complex challenges in their lives. They offer a range of support from crisis support, case management, essential needs assistance including bills assistance, medical, dental and complimentary medical services.
THE ROLE

We’re excited to invite a skilled General Practitioner to join our team at BCF’s newly opened Blacktown Medical Clinic. This 12-month fixed-term part time role (we are flexible) offers the chance to be a key player of our team, driving meaningful change within our disadvantaged communities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, you’ll:
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality primary healthcare to homeless and disadvantaged communities, adhering to best practice standards.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with all BCF stakeholders.
- Uphold excellence in medical practice through ongoing education and professional development.
- Effectively manage medical emergencies and provide appropriate referrals when needed.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records in alignment with the Practice’s protocols.
Requirement
We need someone who thrives in a fast-paced health care environment and brings:
- Current registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
- AHPRA-registered with at least 1 year of experience as a General Practitioner.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to adapt to challenges, manage priorities effectively, and work strategically.
- Experience providing care to marginalised and disadvantaged communities, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
