Description
An opportunity exists at Youth Solutions for an all-rounder with passion and expertise in community relations, communications, marketing, fundraising and events to join our team. Keen interest in contributing to positive youth health and directly engaging with community is essential.
- Applicants’ preference – 3, 4 or 5 days per week (maximum full time, 35-hours p/week).
- Fixed term contract to March 2026 with potential for extension.
- Attractive remuneration SCHCADS Modern Award Level 3, from $37.35 per hour + superannuation + reimbursement for km travel + TIL system + leave loading.
Increase your take-home pay with salary packaging (up to $15, 900 pa).
Requirement
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Strong commitment and contribution to positive youth health and wellbeing required.
2. Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, digital media, graphic design, business administration, events or equivalent.
3. Ability to pass probity & health screening checks (Working with Children Check, National Police Check and COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (recommended)).
4. Holding and maintaining a valid driver’s licence and use of a comprehensively insured vehicle.
5. Ability to work flexible hours to activate community relations activities.
6. Contributing to a vast array of communication, media and marketing strategies; campaigns, letters & info packs, proposals, media releases, publications, reports, website, newsletters and social media (service wide and project specific).
7. In house design of marketing collateral – creation and design skills for high quality in-house digital marketing material, for EDMs, website and social media channels (use of Canva, PowerPoint, Publisher, video editing software).
8. Engaging with community – outreach and community development activities, including presentations, forums, launches, stalls and other promotional activities.
9. All things fundraising – event management, activities and securing donations.
10. Attention to detail with strong writing, proofreading, and effective communication skills.
11. Computer and software digital literacy for: workflow/task management, customer engagement & database platforms – we currently use Microsoft 365, SharePoint, MailChimp, Survey Monkey, social media platforms for scheduling and collection of analytics.
12. Supporting business operations – customer relations, general administration, data entry, digital administrative process and record keeping.
13. Managing a variety of tasks and delivering to timelines.
14. Willingness to contribute and adapt to new ideas; identify and initiate process improvements and new ways of working.
Desirable criteria
• Training or experience in NFP/charity or human services sector
• Training or experience in youth health, mental health or alcohol and other drugs sector
• Current First Aid Certificate (including valid CPR)
