Kamira is a specialist residential rehabilitation service for women, with a strong focus on Aboriginal women, pregnant women, and mothers with children from across NSW. Situated on Darkinjung Country, our mission is to support women on their recovery journey through evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally safe care.
We are seeking a values-driven, politically astute female CEO to lead Kamira through its next strategic phase. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of women and children while shaping the future of this residential service.
The Role
- Drive the implementation of Kamira’s 2025–2028 Strategic Plan
- Lead a skilled and committed team across clinical, operational, and community functions
- Build and sustain strong relationships with funders, sector bodies, and Aboriginal and community partners
- Represent Kamira as a respected voice in AOD policy, funding, and advocacy circles
- Ensure Kamira’s continued excellence in governance, service delivery, and innovation
Requirement

About You
- Strong advocacy skills and political acumen
- Deep understanding of AOD, social services or community health environments
- Commitment to culturally safe practice and inclusive leadership
- Proven executive or senior management experience, ideally in a government-funded or not-for-profit setting
- Ability to lead teams with authenticity, respect and purpose
