WHOS Gunyah is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person for a fulltime AOD Community Service Worker role in our Men’s Program, Gunyah, based at Lilyfield NSW.

Through this role you will be able to provide:

  • assessment, referral, and education,
  • supervision and support to clients in a residential setting,
  • a structured daily program,
  • therapeutic interventions

Requirement


To be considered applicants must respond to and meet the following selection criteria:

  • 1. Certificate IV or higher in AOD, Community Services, Mental Health or related field.
  • 2. Ability to work with clients that have AOD and associated conditions.
  • 3. Knowledge of the AOID sector,
  • 4. Work a rotating roster inclusive of day, evening and weekend shifts.
  • 5. Ability to facilitate groups.
  • 6. Ability to work within a residential treatment service.
  • 7. Understanding of harm minimisation strategies.
  • 8. Unrestricted driving license

Remuneration:

  • Remuneration is in accordance with the SCHADSI Award.
  • Salary packaging is available.
