Description
WHOS New Beginnings is a women’s only AOD residential service, located within the beautiful grounds of Broughton Hall Lilyfield. Information on WHOS services can be found at www.whos.com.au.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic woman to fill this part time AOD position.
Being a female is a genuine occupational qualification under Section 31 of the NSW Anti- Discrimination Act.
Requirement
- Minimum Certificate IV in AOD/Community Services/Mental Health or relevant qualification
- Knowledge of and/or experience in working with AOD clients.
- A desire to work with women and an understanding of their related issues.
- Available to work evening and weekend shifts as required.
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate/CPR or willingness to obtain same
- Knowledge of the Therapeutic Community model
- Group work skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation.
- Experience liaising with stakeholders such as GP’s/medical clinics, withdrawal management services, community services and allied referral agencies
