Draft NSW AOD workforce strategy

Members will be aware that the NSW Ministry of Health CAOD are seeking feedback on the draft NSW AOD Workforce Strategy [PDF].

NADA were fortunate to be consulted throughout the development of this draft, to ensure it reflects the needs and priorities of the non-government AOD sector.

We encourage you to review the strategy and provide feedback using the online form provided. NADA will also be providing a submission on behalf of members. You are welcome to contact Chris Keyes if you would like to discuss or provide feedback into NADA’s submission.

We understand that there will be further opportunity to review the strategy, however it is important that we use this current opportunity so that necessary refinements can be made early.

In addition, NADA are due to update the NSW Non-government AOD Workforce Development Plan and are awaiting finalisation of this NSW AOD Workforce Strategy to determine the need for a specific NGO plan. We welcome the views of our members in this regard.
