Call for expressions of interest: NADA Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group

Use your skills and experience to support reconciliation within the AOD sector

As the peak body for non government AOD services in NSW, NADA is committed to reconciliation. Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 2023-2025 will outline the practical actions that we will take to help build strong relationships between people within and outside First Nations communities. Reconciliation Australia describes a RAP as, a structured and strategic approach to advancing reconciliation’ (Reconciliation Australia 2021).

We are seeking community members, people who work for NADA stakeholders, and representatives from NADA member services to participate in the implementation of the 2023-2025 RAP, by joining the RAP working group. By participating, you are helping to steer NADA’s reconciliation work over the next two years, and helping us turn planned reconciliation work into real actions. You will also have the ability to enhance your networks within and outside the AOD field.

We have budget to remunerate the below communities for their involvement in the group if they are doing the work outside usual paid work hours:

  • First Nations community members
  • People with lived experience of accessing an AOD service

If this describes you, it would be wonderful if you could note it in the ‘other comments’ section of the EOI form, for budgeting purposes.

If you have any questions, please email working group member Hannah. If you would like to join the group, complete this form.
