Call for expressions of interest: NADA Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group
Use your skills and experience to support reconciliation within the AOD sector
As the peak body for non government AOD services in NSW, NADA is committed to reconciliation. Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 2022-2024 will outline the practical actions that we will take to build strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and people outside these communities. Reconciliation Australia describes a RAP as, ‘a structured and strategic approach to advancing reconciliation’ (Reconciliation Australia 2021).
We are seeking NADA stakeholders or representatives from our member services to participate in the development of the NADA RAP by joining the RAP Working Group. By participating, you are having a voice in the creation of NADA’s plans and goals for reconciliation over the next two years, helping us turn planned reconciliation work into real actions. You will also have the ability to enhance your networks within and outside the AOD field.
If you have any questions, email working group member Hannah. If you would like to join the group, please fill out this form.
NADA proudly acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation as the custodians of the land on which our office stands. We extend this acknowledgement to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia and pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.
