Expression of interest: AOD skill set training

Are you new to the AOD sector and/or haven’t had the opportunity to complete specific recognised training to support your role?

NADA is pleased to announce that funded places are available in the Alcohol and Other Drugs Skill Set (CHCSS00093). Download course information [PDF]

This skill set is considered foundational training for those in frontline support roles in the Alcohol and other Drug (AOD) field and provides nationally recognised credentials. The training requires less time commitment than a full qualification, however can be used as credit for those who wish to go on to complete the Certificate IV or Diploma in Alcohol and other Drugs.

Training and assessment will be provided by TAFE NSW and facilitated in a virtual classroom group format.

Training groups will be commencing as follows:

Group 1 course start date: Thursday 7th March 2024

Training will occur over 10 weeks with weekly workshops on Thursday 9.30am – 1.30pm.

Group 2 course start date: Tuesday 2nd April 2024

Training will occur over 10 weeks with weekly workshops on Tuesday 9:30am – 1:30pm.

Students may be required to complete role play assessments outside of formal class times.

Funding covers course completion and certification only. It does not cover backfill/wages or any other out of pocket expenses.

As limited funded places are available, the EOI process will prioritise people in frontline client support roles and those who have been working in the AOD sector 12 months or less.

If you are interested, please gain endorsement from your manager, and complete the online Expression of Interest form here: https://form.jotform.com/232057442596864
