In the news: Open letter to Minister for Health, Greg Hunt

NADA, alongside other state, territory and national AOD peaks are urging the Federal Government to guarantee $60 million annual funding for the National Ice Action Strategy, which is due to expire at the end of June. We have written an open letter to Health Minister Greg Hunt [PDF], warning him that the failure to guarantee the continuation of this funding creates a damaging limbo for services across the country. We also called upon the government to commit additional funding in the March Federal Budget sufficient to tackle the acute underfunding of AOD services across the country. Our letter gained coverage in The Australian yesterday.

NADA also developed a media release [PDF] specifically advocating for our members in NSW.
