Apply for a grant from the Social Sector Support Fund

The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is administering the $50 million Social Sector Support Fund (Support Fund).

The Support Fund’s Open Applications grant will help organisations to remain viable and meet increased demand for services during COVID-19 outbreaks and recovery.

Applications close at 11:59 pm Sunday 28 November.

Open Applications are being accepted from charities and NFPs, whether contracted by DCJ or not.

The grant payment is designed to support the medium-term service needs of charities and NFPs, to help to ensure their viability, and maintain diversity in the social, health, disability and animal welfare sectors.

Organisations are eligible for an Open Applications grant payment if they meet all of the following criteria; they’re:

  • a registered charity or not-for-profit
  • providing social, health, disability or animal welfare services in NSW
  • not currently receiving JobSaver or JobSaver for Not-for-Profit
  • have the capacity to expend the grant by 30 April 2022.

Other eligibility criteria apply.

Full details, including how to apply, are published in the Open Applications grant guidelines on DCJ’s website.

If you have any questions, please contact the Social Sector Support Fund mailbox.
