Organised across a range of topics, NADA hosts several lively networks that connect and facilitate interactions between participants to work towards a common goal. These networks enable individual workers to make changes in the sector collectively, in a way that cannot be achieved individually.
The Gender and Sexuality Diverse AOD Network supports gender and sexuality diverse people who work in the AOD space. Join up to network, share resources, promote research, and improve AOD services for gender and sexuality diverse people. Email Chris Keyes to learn more or to join.
All NADA members that provide AOD services to women are warmly invited to attend forums and training by the Women’s Clinical Care Network! Email Antonia Ravesi to join the mailing list to learn about upcoming events, resources and information relating to women accessing AOD services.
The Youth AOD Services Network is a space for NADA members who provide services to young people accessing AOD support. Join up to network, access professional development, share resources and solve problems. The group works with NADA to advocate for improved AOD service access for young people. For more information or to join, email us.
The NADA Nurses Network facilitates collaboration and knowledge sharing between nurses working for a NADA member and relevant stakeholders. Membership is open to practicing nurses registered with APRHA and working in a NADA member service. Email us to learn more or express an interest in joining.
The NADA Consumer Advisory Group centres the voices of people with living and lived experience in AOD services. Members of the group advise and guide NADA initiatives and provide consultation from their expertise. They inform NADA activities, including policy, project and resource development, strategic planning, advocacy and governance. To learn more, or to seek consult with the consumer advisory group, please contact Jennifer Uzabeaga.
Join the NADA Data and Research Advisory Group to optimise the potential of data to inform AOD treatment and service delivery, fulfill funding and reporting requirements, and showcase sector strengths. Members of the group specialise in data, research, or a related field. Join us! Email us to learn more.
The NADA Practice Leadership Group informs NADA’s work and guides the direction of good clinical practice. NADA views the group as an integral part of informing and enhancing evidence-based practice in the non-government AOD sector. Email Michele Campbell.
The Peer Worker Community of Practice is a bi-monthly online meeting for peer workers and people who have a living and/or lived experience of AOD use. The community of practice is a space for sharing experiences, resources, collaborative learning and networking. Email Jennifer Uzabeaga to join or learn more.
To join the Continuing Coordinated Care Program Community of Practice, email Antonia Ravesi.
The Community Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Research Network fosters continuous learning, shape critical thinking and enable innovative practices and approaches. Receive ethics guidance, gain a mentor, and apply for a grant. Become a member to receive updates on activities.
If you would like to use your skills and experience to support reconciliation within the AOD sector, join the NADA Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group. The group meets bi-monthly to guide NADA’s reconciliation work, and to implement NADA’s 2023-2025 Innovate RAP. It is open to First Nations, and non-First Nations people. To connect with people involved in reconciliation work in the AOD sector, email us.
